This company is the dream and lifelong work of Noo V Pare. Born in Mangaia in the Cook Islands, he dreamed at just 15 years old of making Cook Islands Music to share with the world. He arrived in New Zealand in 1980 and after working on cars for a few years he decided to give up his job and pursue his dream. He released his first recording when he was just 21 years old and it was that one cassette recording that set him on his way. 30 years later, he has recorded hundreds of great Cook Islands singers, and his music can be heard in almost every Cook Islanders home. In 2005 he handed over the reigns to his children sharing with them the importance of Cook Islands Music, Culture and Language. To this day he reminds the team that the music produced by Heimana today – is the inheritance of future generations.
