The Anuanua Trio bring back some memorable tracks from Cook Islands folk music, including some great drumming performed and recorded live by The Anuanua Performing Arts Troupe drummers.

This family group were winners of a Cook Islands String Band Competition held in Auckland in the mid 90's.  Two brothers and their two sisters decided to team up.  Charming their audiences with the magical blend of their voices they went on to perform in countless events around the south pacific.  Like many great singers,

After the successful launch of their debut album, Anuanua Trio sped into the recording studio to get their second album recorded and produced.

A truly magnificent singer and composer, Ephraim Taokia shines in this album paying tribute to some of the wonderful people in his life, and the islands he calls home.

After moving to the homeland, the Heimana Hula Band have taken over the music scene there, bringing with them the sound of their previous musical exploits.

A truly rockin' string band Avanui Boys caught the eye of Cook Islands Music producers with their grassroots flavour and attitude.  The title track from this album is certainly fun loving and sets the scene for the rest of their album.
